Emmaus Road Corp. Ministries
Let us introduce ourselves. We are a non-profit organization interested in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ in Word and Deed by organizing and conducting short term mission trips to Mexico. We are also working with inner city youth in the United States during the summers. We are an independent charitable organization and work with and through independant missionaries and organizations.
We are interdenominational and Spirit-filled and welcome anyone who wishes to help the great commission. . . "Go ye in all the world . . ." Matthew 28: 16-20. Our main purpose is to serve Our Lord Jesus Christ and further His call to worship him and to share the Gospel wherever He sends us.
There's a story about two men who were walking along a road outside the town of Emmaus
some two thousand years ago. They were talking about current events, including the recent execution of a Jewish teacher. They were joined by another man, who asked about the topic of their conversation. As they talked, he explained what was said in "all the Scriptures," beginning with Moses and the Prophets, concerning the man called Jesus of Nazareth.
It was only later that they realized that the stranger was actually Jesus himself, resurrected from the dead. In Luke 24: 31-32, it records their reaction as follows:
Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32 And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?"
Similarly, in one of his parables Christ described what will happen upon his return:
Then the King will say to those on his right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me.
Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go visit you?"
The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25: 31-40
Far too often, we fail to see Christ standing right beside us; we don't see Him in the faces of the multitudes crying out in need. Emmaus Road Ministries is a Christian missionary outreach to Southeast Asia and Mexico; it is our goal to minister to "the least of these," as our Lord directed. Each year, we travel to Mexico and various points throughout southeast Asia, such as Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand, leading groups through short-term missionary outreaches in these areas.
We are an independent charitable organization and work with and through independent missionaries and organizations. We are interdenominational and welcome anyone who wishes to help us fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28: 16-20 to "Go ye into all the world . . ." Our main purpose is to serve Our Lord Jesus Christ and further His call to worship Him and to share the Gospel wherever He sends us. We too want to have our hearts "burn within us" as we carry out the commands of Christ.
